Ajay Jain is the Founder and Managing Director of Habitat Design and Arts Pvt. Ltd. and the founder of WURKSPACE. A graduate in architecture (B.Arch, 1997), his career spans leadership roles and hands-on execution across corporate offices, educational campuses, five-star hospitality projects, industrial facilities and retail chains.
Before founding Habitat, Ajay worked with organisations such as INOX Group, Bata India Ltd. and Future Group — managing complex projects that demanded tight timelines and multi-stakeholder coordination. That background shaped a process-driven, execution-first approach with a strong emphasis on planning clarity, risk control and reliable delivery, particularly in live environments where business cannot pause.

Drawing on two decades of refurbishing operational offices and educational campuses, Ajay authored Renovation Redefined — a practical reference for administrators, facility heads and leadership teams. The book intentionally avoids design trends, and instead addresses planning clarity, execution risks, stakeholder coordination and the decision-making frameworks that determine whether renovation projects succeed or fail.
